The MSA Health Walk 2011

The MSA Health Walk which came off, on the 1st of October, 2011 was fun inspite of the downpour of rain and relatively few numbers of members. There was an aerobics segment at the beginning of the programme infront of Getfund Hostel. The aerobic session was intermingled with an Azonto session culminating in a new art of Azontrobics (the term by kindcourtesy of Nii Kemikal of MBChb3).

From there, we proceeded on the walk which took us from the KATH Hostel, through the streets of Kejetia, Asafo, Roman Hill, all the way to KNUST. Health education revolving around the theme of this year's Health Week, "Reducing Maternal Mortality and Infant Mortality, The Role of Primary Healthcare" was given spearheaded by Gyimah our Machoman, D Blaze our EC aided by others.

Socializing, dancing, taking of pictures were the order of the day, as we headed for KNUST campus. On arrival at the Knust campus, we walked around Conti Hall, Republic Hall, Hall 7 and eventually stopped at the Independence Hall (The Only Hall) where a "roll call" showed HB 2 winning the most represented class for the year. Drinks were provided by Nestle Ghana Limited. Food (Waakye and kenkey with Fish) was served with ice cream to go with. A kenkey party was thrown which was so much fun!!

In summary, the Health Walk this year was fun even though we were relatively small in number. We encourage all MSA members to participate in MSA activities and make them the success they deserve to be!!!! Thanks to everyone who contributed to making the Walk a success, from The President to the Executive Board, particularly the Health Officers, FGMSA, and most importantly, the members of the association.
