KATH signs MOU with two leading Chinese Medical Institutions

The Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with two leading Chinese medical institutions as part of its strategic drive to enhance its core competences in the provision of tertiary health care services, training and research.
The two Chinese medical institutions are the Nanjing Medical University (NMU), the Wenzhou Medical College (WMC) and its affiliated teaching hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical College (FAHWMC).

Pregnancy Related Deaths Drop 34% Globally, But Still 1000 Women Die Each Day

pregnancyThe total number of deaths of women worldwide caused by childbirth or complications during pregnancy fell by 34% between 1990 and 2008, according to Trends in Maternal Mortality, a report released by WHO (World Health Organization), UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund), the UNFPA (United Nations Population Fund) and the World Bank.

A Sneak Peek At the Upcoming MSA Carols Service

This year's Carols Service promises to be exciting and more grand than ever!!!!!

It will be held on Saturday, the 3rd of December at the KNUST Great Hall Auditorium at exactly 6: 00 pm. There will be buses available at Komfo Anokye and these buses will leave at 5: 45 pm.

Special guest of Honour is the Vice Chancellor, Professor William Otoo Ellis.


This year, there will be the involvement of both lecturers and students,  where you will have students as well as lecturers taking part in all the activities such as judging, reading of lessons, singing etc.


There will a trophy for the winning class as well as individual prizes for the members of each performing choir. More surprises in stock!

 

Also, this year, the program will be held strictly within the set time and thus will not be too long. There will be refreshments and everyone will take a gift home.Seriously, everyone takes home a gift!!!!!!


Everyone is invited to come celebrate the joys of the Chrismas season. Felis Navi Dad!!!!!!
